The 2008 Andrew Katnik Golf Tournament was held April 28th, 2008 at Granite Bay Country Club.  The weather was perfect with a sold out crew of golfers on hand.  There were smiling faces everywhere.  With many volunteers to help make this a successful event again, along with friends and family of Andrew Katnik it was a wonderful day to help raise funds and fun for Loretto High School.

Many thanks to Bob Hallerman the event chairperson, who made sure every detail was taken care of.

About the Scholarship:
The Andrew Ray Katnik Memorial Scholarship was established in March 2006, in memory of Dr. Andrew Katnik (1954-2005), loving father of Teresa Katnik Santarosa ’99, Alicia Katnik Canney ’01, Michelle Katnik ’02 and Elena Katnik ’07 and uncle of Antonia Cueto ’07 and Carmen Cueto ’09.

This annual, need-based scholarship will be awarded to a student involved in sports who displays a strong work ethic coupled with deep faith and high academic achievement, values exemplified by Dr. Katnik. In this way, his life and character may continue to affect the lives of young people.
