The Harold
M. Anderson Memorial Scholarship
Harold Anderson
was a dedicated president of the Loretto Dad's Club.
Six of his daughters and five granddaugters attended Loretto.
This scholarship will be awarded annually to a Loretto Scholar
who has made a personal commitment to living a life of service.
The Arthur
Avilla Memorial Scholarship
The family of Rosanna
Eppler Bullis '65 established this scholarship fund in memory
of her uncle.
The Annie
Joyce Barcelon '76 Scholarship
This scholarship
is in memory of Annie.
The Katherine
Kergan Carr Scholarship
Four daughters from
the Carr family graduated from Loretto. This scholarship
fund was established in memory of their mother.
The Ann
Carr Dallosto '61 Scholarship
Ann (Carr) Dallosto
'61 was senior class president and "a woman of humor
and scholar" This scholarship is especially for
a student of middle income.
The Joseph
C. Frazer Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship
was established by former employee Arlene Frazer in memory
of her father.
The IBVM
Millennium Scholarship
The Millennium Scholarship,
established in 2000, honors over 300 years of combined service
from the sisters of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary
to Loretto High School. Without the vision and mission
of the IBVM sisters, Loretto would not be entering the new
millennium as an excellent private Catholic school for young
women. Gifts to this scholarship fund are accepted in
honor of all the IBVM sisters in North America.
The IBVM
Provincial Scholarship
This is a special
scholarship providing tuition awards for junior(s) with a
minimum B average. It is awarded in June and is substantially
helpful in funding the students senior year at Loretto.
The Sister
Mary Iwanski, IBVM, Mathmatics Scholarship
In memory of Sr.
Mary Iwanski, who graduated from Loretto in 1964. Sr
Iwanski taught at Our Lady of Assumption School. This
scholarship is awarded to students who excel in mathmatics.
The Andrew
Ray Katnik, M.D. Memorial Scholarship
The Andrew Ray Katnik
Memorial Scholarship was established in March of 2006.
Loving father of four Loretto graduates. This annual,
need-based scholarship is awarded to a student involved in
sports who displays a strong work ethic, coupled with deep
faith and high academic achievement, values exemplified by
Dr. Katnik.
The Shelia
Koett Memorial Scholarship
Shelia was a bookstore
manager at Loretto for ten years and is remembered for her
cheerful energy.
The Daniel
and Lisa Lee Scholarship
This scholarship
was established in October of 2006 by Daniel and Lisa Lee
for the sole purpose of providing financial aid to a
student who is recognized by the Loretto High School Administration
as needing financial assistance.
The Elwood
Maleville Memorial Scholarship
Sondra Maleville
Arndt '60 established this scholarship in memory of her father.
The Mary
Ward Scholarship
A scholarship is
awarded each year to a qualified student entering Loretto.
It is renewable each year if the student continues to perform
well, and can cover full tuition, fees and books for all four
years at Loretto.
The Albina
Maziarz Scholarship
This scholarship
has been established by social sciences teacher Ralph Eckard
and his wife Barbara, in memory of Barbara's mother.
Albina was an intelligent and active woman whose family circumstances
as she was growing up never permitted her to finish high school.
The Father
Leo McAllister Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship
was established in memory of Father Leo McAllister, pastor
and co-founder of the Sacramento Food Bank. He gave
strong voice to his deep commitment to care for "the
least" among us.
This scholarship
will be awarded each year to the applicant who best exemplifies
Father Leo's life:someone who walked daily with Christ and
shared his joy in knowing our good and loving Lord.
The John
Lloyd Mehrten Scholarship
This scholarship
fund was established by the Mehrten family in memory of the
brother of Kristin Mehrten'92.
This scholarship
is awarded to an outstanding soccer player, in honor of John's
great love of the sport.
The Parent
Link Community Award
This scholarship
is awarded to the student involved in three extra-circular
including non-school related activities. One activity
may be a sport. The student must have a gpa of 3.0 (cumulative),
un-weighted. Financial need is not a consideration.
The award amount is $500 and used for tuition.
The Parent
Link Scholar Athlete Scholarship
This scholarship
is awarded to the student who is involved in two sports in
the same year. The student must have a gpa of 3.0 (cumulative)
un-weighted. The scholarship is to be used for tuition
and the amount is $500. This student must have outstanding
sportsmanship.
The Charles
& June Phayer Scholarship
Brooke Phayer and
Sue Ann Phayer Newton '71 and their families have established
this scholarship fund in honor of their parents.
The Gretta
Schubert Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship
honors a parent who coached Loretto's softball team while
she had terminal cancer, and is given to a student who can
be counted on despite difficult circumstances.
The Carol
Hicks Spencer Scholarship
Carol Hicks taught
at Loretto in the early 1980's. In her memory a scholarship
is awarded each year to a student who excels in English or
French.
The Matthew
Walker Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship
was established in December 2005, in memory of the father
of Mrs. Wendy Vismara and grandfather of Marissa Vismara '08.
This scholarship is awarded to a student who lives with an
open mind and a compassionate heart in working alongside the
many diverse groups in society with recognition, respect for
differing beliefs and with a thirst for knowledge of all segments
of society, however different from her own.
The Catheryn
M. Memorial ScholarshipThe families of Catherine
Williams Heffron '58 and Judy Williams Flannery '63 have established
this scholarship in memory of their mother.
The Daniel
Winters Memorial Scholarship
Mr Daniel Winters
taught English and French at Loretto for 18 years. This
scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student in French.
